  Promotes cooperation and coordination among local, state, federal, commercial, corporate and voluntary agencies to address the preparedness and unmet recovery and mitigation needs of individuals and families in Palm Beach County. The Coalition consists of over 50 community leaders, non-profit organizations, business, government and interfaith groups that work together to combine resources in support of short and long-term recovery and redevelopment operations. The Coalition is the lead coordinating agency that assesses disaster resources and funding availability in the disaster recovery phase through multiple partner agencies ad programs throughout the county. Assistance is provided to eligible individuals and families who do not qualify for federal assistance, are UN/underinsured or do not have the necessary resources to fully recover from a disaster. The County and various non governmental disaster organizations attempt to provide assistance/resources for their unmet needs.
